Strawberries contain 59 milligrams of vitamin C in every 100 grams, and are equal to oranges in their vitamin C content. The good news there is that vitamin C aids in collagen reproduction and tissue repair. It also has the tendency to speed up wound healing and prevent signs of aging. Talk about a super(hero) food!
Strawberries also contain high amounts of ellagic acid; an antioxidant that has been shown in a number of studies to lighten moderately hyperpigmented skin and block ultraviolet rays by inhibiting melanin synthesis.
